what to use for mortar and grout on tile shower

ok so after much reesearchin ive come to this

gonna use silicone as mortar, then use rustoleum restorex for grout.
or just restorex for both??

it has to be able to flex just a bit so it wont chip...

want to mix a log cabin chink style substance with mortar.....
ideas?

You do realize the majority of us will never tile our bathrooms? I have read other threads about tile but don't remember what they used. Obviously they had the same concerns.

I'd be cruising if I had a fiberglass stall.

Lornashinske did a counter top with tile in her set up. Look her up in the members list.

rob you should get one! i saw prefab stalls for under 200 bucks on amazon or somewhere online.

i used marble for the counter tops too
tile is soooooo easy, and waterproof, and killer lookin! and i think i may have solved the flexible mortar / grout. i will post pics soon of shower.
the build is flying! started in nov, be done by july1!!

That looks pretty cool, like walking through a creek to take a shower.
