Where to build? Do you need help? Austin, TX

Hi,
I've become obsessed with building a Skoolie.

I think I want to do a shorter bus like 25' to 30' but where could I store it while building it? Unfortunately my HOA would not approve of a school bus in my driveway.

Also, I'm somewhat handy with electrical, mechanical and carpentry... I have some tools as well. I would love to check out your build and possibly lend a hand if you are in the Austin area.

Trading work for a place to build would be ideal.. but I'd be happy with checking out your Skoolie project and lending a hand if needed.

My goal is to build out a bus before my lease is up in February and hit road full time. :marshmallow:

Thanks,
Chris

I would love to do that deal, ( Lend a hand on projects in exchange for some space to keep and work on your own bus ) but i'm in Utah...

I had another Skoolie member spend time helping me with my build. So far, that period of time was the most amazing enjoyable and productive part of the project so far.

I have worked with two others installing electrical and solar on their buses.

It would be cool if skooliers became like the Amish with the barn-raising thing. Everybody shows up and helps build out the skoolie over a weekend.

There wouldn't be that many fistfights, I don't think.

Well, sure. So long's we're not talking Mennonites on speed!

I bet the fist fights would be few and far between.
Contingent on me ever learning to keep my trap shut...
