Model Railroad

I know its not very practical but has anyone though of having a train (029 guage for example) running around the perimeter of the inside of the bus along the roof. It could run through the closets and walls. It could have a small spot in a closet to be parked while the bus is in motion.

most of the coolest things in life are not practicle! I'm not much of a model train fan, but i think the idea is lovely.

an idea just popped into my brain! instead of a train, have you considered just having a single bus traveling the track?? perhaps a bus body overtop of the train engine. ?? Just a thought.

Great Minds REALLY DO THINK alike

:D

I've been thinking of doing something similar myself ...wife thinks I'm crazy though.

Ever since I was a kid I wanted a really nice N gauge trainset.

I'm leaning toward putting a really detailed little 'World' in a 2' x 3-1/2' drawer that I can pull out ...when I want to play with my train set.

Cool ....I thought I was the only who thought like this

A bus body on a train chassis is called a doodlebug and were common in the 20s - 30s for intercity transit. Model Ts had a tread the same as railroad tracks so such an idea is no so far fetched.

Now I have plans to include an aquarium in mine.
