there is a outfit called ' Cruise King' at this link: that makes them for diesel trucks and buses. I bought one for a semi some 10+ years ago and it worked great.

Re: Cruise control
Thanks, I did had been to their site. Couldn't figure out from it if theirs would work. I guess I'll have to get my bus home and do some studying.

Re: Cruise control
Don't you just love it when they don't put enough info on their site to tell whether you wasting both yours and their time?

Re: Cruise control
I emailed them this morning, February 1st. By the afternoon, I had this reply:

If it is a rear engine school bus then the part number is 9262. Front engine is 9251T. In either case your cost would be $595.00. We provide phone assistance to you or your installer if you have any questions. To order call us at 507-334-0250 Thanks Steve

It's a little more pricey that what I'd hoped for, but not completely unreasonable. I'm thinking about getting it...someday! Thanks for the initial post to spur on the idea!

Re: Cruise control
I got a similar fast reply, same price, different engine. I agree a bit pricy, but if it's a quality unit probably worth it. Certainly cuts down of fatigue, and helps with fuel mileage.

Re: Cruise control
After 500 miles of foot jammed to the floor, I really would love to have a cruise, regardless of the cost! I've sometimes done the big "no no" and used the throttle lock for a period when my leg was numb! I haven't done that much since the last time I used it, I blew a tire...that was scary-fun!
