4th one from the top
List of Bus Yards & Graveyards

It would be nice it folks kept it updated. It could come in handy while on the road one day.

Oh, man, what a sight! Can't get there for real, but I can dream...and look at Bing birds-eye maps of it.

Re: bone yards

You should see it from US 23/365. Schoolbuses all over. Every so often they buy up a pile from the local bus auctions and the place simply overflows with buses. The bing pic is at a "low" inventory. I have seen buses packed in like sardines in a can. It is impressive. This is also a good place to buy a running bus as well. The owner sorts thru and resells the best buses, using the others as "parts" buses. That's why I find it odd when I read about folk having a hard time finding a bus. About a month after school lets out, Wade's gets in 100's of buses from various N. GA counties (with a few SC counties tossed in as well from what he told us back when we bough rims for the Eagle from him). We know he sells whole running buses because David commented that I wanted a BlueBird to convert back then. He said he always had lots to sell. When we were ready to buy, we should see him first. That was what we had planned except that I found one a few miles from where we lived. Alto is a fair ways from Franklin (a little over 60 miles).

Now who needs recreational pharmaceuticals when they can stare at a sight like that?!

From Omaha, Alto is about 1,000 miles, many of 'em I expect to be very beautiful. Sounds like a good excuse for a road trip!
