Great WVO score
Ok-there hasn't been a post in this section since July (and it was by me :o ) and for those that fill up at the pump it will mean nothing-but I hit on a good one this week. Since the days of free oil have gone ba bye around here, ( a big bio D company doing home heating oil has forced out all us little guys by promising the world) I was going to have to plan ahead to for next years travels. I saw an ad on Craigslist "400 gallons of oil for $200." Ok-400 will get me thru the racing season-theres peace of mind there. "Well i got like 5 barrels-and maybe 75 cubies I was going to convert my car but never got around to it." The guy was 20 miles away. I get there + see the cubies-100 of them! CLEAN? OMG! Like never used clean. Open a cubie + i can see to the bottom clean. Not even colored. :D All came from an Italian fest he was involved with. "Quick-take my money!" 6 +1/2 barrels + 100 cubies. apx 700 gallons of worth. Filtering this stuff is gonna be a breeze.
Except for the fact my 52 year old body feels 82 :? after all the loading of everything in my trailer (2 trips) + pouring it all into barrels.... I'll feel better every gas station I pass. 8)

I picked up 750 gallons wvo, 3 IBC tanks, 1 12v pump, 2 120v pumps, 2 12v holley fuel pumps, a 80 gal water heater, 4 filter heads, 2 gas nozzles, 25 filters, miscelaneous hose, and some other odds and ends for 600 dollars on craigslist the other day.. not the best deal ever, but not bad at all!! Im happy (the oil is very clean)

maybe I can get some post going in this part of the forum, just finished building filtration set up (planning on filtering on the road as well).. still havent fininshed converting bus but I will try to document that stuff and post it up!

I'm listening.
The pendulum has swung the other way now with diesel being so cheap. (I'm paying $2.15 a gallon in Ct-paid $1.93 in Vt. last week.)
I'm still committed -just so used to doing it. But I just changed cars-retired my Jetta at 410k miles  and bought a 97 MB. I haven't converted it--yet. But with fuel this cheap, I don't feel the urgency.

yah its mainly a fun project for me combined with the idea of going on a 10K + mile road trip this summer that woould burn a lot of fuel... mostly a project though because we will not come out on top with diesel this cheap till we go 25k mi....

i have a facebook website if you wana see some pics, dont put a whole lot of technical stuff though

wow 410.... i want one
