Re: Tranny Options/Swap
Was the Allison in the chip truck a 545 or did it have lockup capability. I have the MT643 and like it, just need taller gears to not have to run it on the governor. Don't think I've driven anything...

Re: 1986 International School Bus Need More Speed

I have a similar axle in my other one with 4.77, but can't just swap.
Joke's on me, the only axle ratio that the Spicer rear...

Re: Differential ratio - 99 Bluebird/ International
If you can get to the bus, take a brush, rag and some carb cleaner.
Dive under the rear and find the axle data plate. There are probably at least two.
One describes the axle, the other has the...

Re: 86 International Hydraulic Brakes
The system is called Hydro Max, if you're looking for info. Uses a 2" bore master cylinder. Similar to the Hydroboost on Chevy trucks, just much beefier. From my understanding the backup motor will...

Re: Tow Bars
Really easy to add hitch. I eye-balled it seven times and tried to figure different ways, finally found a super easy way.
My BB International has "drop downs" where the tow hooks are bolted on,...

DT466 4x4 Exhaust routing
Anyone have pic's of the exhaust routing on a 4x4 with a DT466? Looking at the front axle (passenger drop) and the exhaust, I'm thinking clearance is going to be tight. Might have to get a different...

Tapping into air supply
I'd like to tap into my air supply, to use tools, air up tires, etc.
What would be the best place to do so?
It's an '88 IH Blue Bird.
How do I go about clearing my lines of water?
What else do...
