So all I can speak from is my experience, and it will stripe the paint off almost anything it sits on. I have a few VWs that have had the paint under the fenders slide off after cleaning the brakes....

They are made by UniSolar, I Googled and found the best deal. They are designed for the roofs and come with a VERY sticky back. Most put them on RVs.
