Avoiding financial risk of having someone test drive your bus

Hello. Haven't worked on my bus in 2 years as my situation changed. I want to sell it as it is a good rig with low mileage, but I do not want to risk someone test driving and crashing thereby...

City Boondocking

Too bad about Berkeley, grew up there. Live near Seattle now and can tell you a few bad apples ruin it for all. Decent, clean and tidy homeless against druggie nightmares. Need alternative housing...

Thanks for asking. Yes I had wired everything just fine - only ever having driven the bus once forgot there is a switch for the running lights. Not my only "doi" moment.
If I ever can get back to...

No floor deformity when pulling up plywood. Most of the nails holding wood were rotted, yours might give more resistance. My rails were sunk down into plywood so very little wood under them. FYI...

I found that the blades wore out quickly whether diamond or not so went cheap. Also found that longer blades had more bend to them. Good luck.

circular saw

Yes "Ontheroad..." I did just that with circular saw. Start shallower than you think on circular blade then bump it up. I found a big, 4 foot pry bar to do the trick for tearing sections of wood up...

My hex bolts were so rusted that I couldn't remove them so had to use a pry bar to lift one end of rail, then a reciprocating saw to cut the bolts one by one from underneath. Was a lot of hard work....

Yeah you pay a premium for small. Saw lots of very cute little stoves that were way more than the cubic mini (like the hobbit). I have a 27' bus though and wanted a wood burning stove so had to opt...

Talking up and running

So what a relief, the bus now starts. Linkage on tractor fuel shutoff solenoid (exact model that was in bus) was different as was thread size but got it to go together. Didn't work. Gave it a day and...

lemmeskoolu - metal is just a sheet I bought from Lowes - not that thick as I cut it with a big pair of tin snips, and bought L shaped metal with predrilled holes and bolted it to bottom and sides,...

cubic mini

I have had mine installed for about 2 weeks now. I have a 27' bus with the regular low ceiling so it does ok, but if you are in snow or have a bigger bus, I would get the grizzly. I saved money by...

Tis a long haul

Amen on the comment of doing this with a younger body (I am 62). Wouldn't say I am being held back, only delayed. Skoolie builds require so many skills so mistakes and set backs and many frustrations...

Yup, ordered some 3/8 drive sockets (metric) and some elbow joints and extensions to get into these tight spots. Got engine to start again - I did several things but I think unplugging fuel solenoid...

no start

No sign of algae or debris in pre-filter, looked clean. Opened top of fuel filter and was full and looked clean. Priming fuel lift makes nice "pshhh" noise of gas being expelled. Bus has grid...

taking a risk

Sounds like you are all saying the same thing, i.e. you are taking a risk by running separate grounds. Probably worth it for my toilet fan, but not my $1400 fridge.

So any of you smart folks...
