New motor and transmission

So got the bus back from the mechanics. Ended up costing more than I wanted of course because I went with both the jasper tranny and jasper motor. Now I have a 100,000 mile 3 year warranty on both....

I agree about the lack of knowing who took care of it or how. I am a firefighter and just seeing how everyone takes care of the engines and trucks makes me realize it’s a complete crap shoot. Most of...

Glad the windows inspired you. I worried about it feeling dark, but it doesn’t at all. I can’t imagine leaving the stock windows in with condensation and not being able to spray foam. Removing them...

Yeah his is the 5.9. He lives out of it and for now it’s parked where he doesn’t have to move it. Just seems like diesels cost way more and mechanics are harder to find.

Engine

Yeah it’s a bummer about the engine. This is literally why I went with a gas motor and specifically the Chevy 350 though. I figured what’s the point in building something you can’t afford to fix. I...

Yeah I think I’m going to have them rebuild it while it’s being done. So far I’ve found a reputable shop here that will do it all outsourcing the tranny rebuild for $6300 total. So that’s a new...
