I was told by a Allison tech, the Engine adapter is different, but the flywheel and hub...

I understand that. The engine adapter is one bolt pattern on the engine end and SAE on the other (trans end).
The B series engines and the C series are different...

According to the picture above and the Allison tech I talked to just now, all 5.9's with 545's were SAE#3, and all 5.9's with 643's were SAE#2. I gave him my Trans serial # and VIN. He called back...

I need a Engine flywheel housing (SAE #2) , flywheel and adapter hub from a 5.9L B series Cummins to put my MT643 behind my 5.9 Cummins.

My Bus has a 545, I am cooking the thing so I bought a MT643. I have scoured the interweb for HOURS and cannot find a definitive answer.

Without pulling the 545, I have to assume its SAE#2...

Is the solonoid mounted to the starter or is it a whole seperate animal?

If its not mounted to the starter, you can take pliers or screwdriver and short the two posts with the big wires on it...

I put the battery meter on the battery itself when testing for the 13.5 volts Right? And im guessing it does not matter which battery i place the probes on?

Engine running voltage should be above 13.5V if your alt is charging.
If you can do it SAFELY, with the engine running, put a small wrench or screwdriver on the back of the alt, right in the center...

My fuel mileage got better as i learned how to drive it.
My 1ton van (5.7L vortec) got about 7-9mpg towing the same route no matter how hard i drove it.
The bus (5.9 cummins),,,,,,, not so much....
