Pull the motor and trans on your subby now, and get started on the rebuild.. A shell is very light and can be pushed easily.. This should buy you some time, but remember what can go wrong will.

If I'm not wrong, rain water by it self is fairly clean.. The issue is the roof it's running down is covered by bird stuff, and other contaminants.. Usually when collecting you use the surface area...
