It may be different on your bus but on my 98 Thomas RE its connected directly to the P7100 injection pump linkage. My pedal and air throttle valve is manufactured by Williams Control.

I'm going to install a fuel pressure gauge so I can monitor my lift pump. My RE Thomas has remote mount fuel filters. Tracing the hoses, the filter on the right would be the one normally on the block...
