How about "Bussy McBusFace"?

I know you've picked a name already, just had to pile on.

"The Dark Knight" would work well with your color scheme.

Can emergency lights be converted to brake/turn signals?

So, I have this crazy idea of converting a Type II ambulance (van with a high-top) into a camper/tailgater, and in thinking about what to do with the old emergency lights, has anyone converted them...

Yeah, I'm all about getting a "jump start" on the conversion.

I've been thinking about an ambulance (for a smaller Class B type conversion) or a Bookmobile/Command Center (if larger). These always have lots of built-ins and often generators, A/C and full house...

Found a possible candidate for a conversion...

The bus already has roof air, an Onan generator, and a toilet/sink. In Tulare County, CA - was used as a mobile command center.

Any chance the mechanism is strong enough to raise and lower solar panels on the roof? Would be great to have some control of the angle of the panels, and be able to lower them electrically when...

RV conversion platform? 1980 GMC mobile office.

So I ran across this GMC bus with a Detroit Diesel and would love to hear the group's thoughts. It's a mobile office for a police force, with a lot of what you want for an RV conversion: working...

Anyone here converted an ambulance?

I'm a relative newcomer here, and while intrigued with the skoolie conversion idea, I've never done one. While fairly handy, I clearly have a lot to learn skill-wise before taking something like this...

Spider bite

Only other symptom was that the bite area was very hot/feverish, and raised. Thankfully nothing worse than an inconvenience.

Really impressed with what you have done with your bus

Re: Smells Like Teen Spirit: Conversion of 1999 Thomas MVP

Porkchop, I got a similar spider bite in PA last summer on vacation, complete with track marks, visit to urgent care and course of antibiotics. Did you see the critter? I felt the SOB chomp down on...

Re: Longest School Bus newer than 1994

I've seen a few articulated buses converted to RVs, and I think they to to 60'. Google is your friend - check out this articulated, double-decker Neoplan behemoth:

Re: Insulating paint beads: Feedback from REAL people please

I'm sure you're right re heat transfer. Again, excellent work with the test. I had pretty much bought the hype re the beads, so it's good to have some real data. It always pays to be skeptical.

Re: Insulating paint beads: Feedback from REAL people please

Awesome, thanks for clarifying. I presume the test rig is in 100% sun when you are testing? Looks like you have some spotty shadows over the rig in your latest pics. Just trying to think of...

Re: Insulating paint beads: Feedback from REAL people please

Jazty, one question: I noticed that the sawdust panel appears to be the closet to the ground in one of the photos (the one where your assembly is vertical). Are your panels all horizontal while you...

Re: Insulating paint beads: Feedback from REAL people please

Jazty, hats-off to you for the thorough experiment. I am a little surprised at the sawdust result. Leads me to believe that just about any material that creates additional surface area would...

Re: My new skoolie!

Nifty! I really like the way that door looks on the outside after the strip was installed. I've seen others do something similar to the stock doors but this is the best looking execution I have...

Jazty,

I'm very interested in how your test turns out, and I have to commend you on your scientific approach. I wonder if you could paint the "control" yellow, to render it more like the...
