IF you plan to tow with it, the longer wheelbase and shorter overhang would be a big advantage. The shorter wheelbase definitely would maneuver better in town, but I don't think cornering safety...

What's the difference? All I can find is that they both share gear ratios and input capacities, and that the 542 has a shallower oil pan.

It seems like all of the 5-6 window full size buses only...

I can heat the 1200 sf ground floor of my poorly insulated 100 year old house with 3 1500 watt heaters.
There are multiple ways of insulating, and you should be able to heat with half the energy.

To me, a converted bus without insulation needs the build torn out to insulate. I'd rather start fresh, since at least some of the interior paneling and cabinets won't be able to be re-used.
