You cannot safely use a 240v receptical to power a rv that only uses 120v, you will fry everything if you are lucky.

For about 50 bucks you could buy a 14-50r rv receptical and replace the welder...

As they said, it takes 5-10 watts per battery to prevent parasitic discharge depending upon batt size, 20 watts should work, to be on the safe side I would check batt voltage weekly for a few months...
