I ripped 2" x 4" s and drilled pilot holes to keep from spliting. I used the triple coated deck screws with 6 lobe heads. The are strong and drive great.

I would get either an electric or air DA sander and go over the entire bus. You would be amazed how fast it will go. Much faster than blasting or anything else. An air DA requires a large air...

You can also get some fisheye eliminator and add it in the paint.

Yes the body is a Wayne. The windshield is the original. I am extremely careful working around the glass as one mishap and we are screwed. I added a few more photos of the exterior reconstruction.
