The cat 10.4 isn't an extremely popular engine. Most of us look for big, non-cat straight six diesels.

The most common GOOD bus engines are the DT466 and the Cummins 8.3.

8.3 is bigger and better and CAN be rebuilt without removing it. ...

But a dealer would want a MINIMUM of 8-10 for one. Of course- the dealer will hold your hand and tell you how special you are for that extra...
