Not at all! the bumper is 1/4" thick "C" channel witha 2" x 12" profile and the cross member behind it is 5/16" with a similar cross section. I also drilled the mounting holes out from 1/2" to 5/8"...

'89 was the last year for the 10.4L CAT 3208, it's a dirty motor and the EPA made them phase it out for school busses.

I've seen MVPs advertised with CAT 3208, 5.9L...
