My family has not been camping in the bus lately. We've reverted back to tent camping. Also, I renovated my 2-car garage and made it into 1/2 office/hangout zone, 1/2 shop. So now I have a new and...

Well, it's been over a year since I posted anything here. I've been busy with other projects and life in general, and my bus has just been sitting in the driveway. I've toyed with the idea of selling...

Re: Bus Dealers - experiences?

I bought from a dealer in Kansas and paid around $4,500 for a 1996 with 160K miles. Not a bad deal and had the convenience of a dealer situation. I have no complaints about my experience; they even...

Re: Whitey The Toy Hauler

I am completely blown away by how gorgeous the interior of your bus came out! The combination of materials is really nice. I'm curious though as to why you did not remove the windows that are...

Re: Duct tape "paint"?

I used white Rustoleum oil based paint in the gallon can, thinned with acetone, and sprayed on with a HVLP air sprayer. I didn't use primer. I sanded the whole bus lightly with a orbital power...

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

That has got to be the best place to install a standard window AC unit in a bus. If my interior configuration was different I would do it myself. One thing I don't understand about your...

Re: The Camel Conversion Project

I usually default to Liquid Nails for stuff like that. I like the fact that there is a thick bead that gets mooshed, so I feel like there is a better chance for adhesion. I'm no glue expert...

Re: 1995 DT466 Fuel line

The "quick fix" would be to cut those rubber hoses in half, and use whatever tools are necessary to remove the old hose and yellow ends from the metal tubes. Then put new sections of hose in place...

Re: The Journey Visvi 1999 Thomas MVP ER

I can see what you are saying. I think if there was an angle in the back to match the angle in the front, that would be the easiest thing to do and make it look better.

Edit: what I mean is to...

Re: The Journey Visvi 1999 Thomas MVP ER

I suppose you could just paint it white and then paint a 3-D looking dark line to imply a gutter...

Re: The Journey Visvi 1999 Thomas MVP ER

You may want to shoot me for saying this, but now that you've painted the roof white, I think your bus would look better if you lowered the rain gutter on the raised section of the bus to be on the...

Re: Bare Metal Finish?

Stripping the paint off a bus sounds like an insane amount of work. I would never dream of attempting that.
