Severed compressed airline - how to fix?

Whilst grinding off a bolt head I have managed to cut (melt) two compressed airlines (Air Brake SAE J844 Type A 1/4" Weathered NT 10004) that look as if they go to the seat and the foghorn.

Two questions!
1) How do I fix it!
2) Would that affect the actual airbrakes (i.e. is the bus driveable at the moment?)

Thanks as ever for your help!

Those brass fittings will fix your air lines, cut the melted part of the lines clean at both ends. Not to short that you can't stretch the lines back together. In the mean time you'll have to plug the lines to keep the air in the tanks for your brakes, and anything else that works off the air system.....horn or air ride seat won't work for the time being.

You can also use the push-on o-ring type fittings for the repair. They are usually
available at your local NAPA, or Fleetpride will have them in stock as well, good luck.

Airbrakeconnections.co.uk sent me 2 connectors for free. Not much use to you all in the US of A, but if anyone in the UK is reading this, I would recommend them! Now my Wig Wag stays up!
