Coming along nicely, Sean! Keep up the good work & photo-documentation. Where did you get the Tiny Tot stove?

Thanks, Sean!
That's the smallest and most suitable wood stove I've seen for my skoolie application. I hadn't planned on a wood stove due to the space it would require (both stove & clearance space), but this makes me start to reconsider!
Thanks again for the link!

Beautiful woodworking job !
Here’s a site with some great little woodstoves suitable for small spaces.
http://www.marinestove.com/index.htm
We bought a little Jotul woodstove for our project , which is a very good stove …but almost wish I picked up a smaller one….

Hey Soused Moose, the Sardine model is a great little unit too, but the price is way out of my league (OK, the Tiny Tot is too, but not so far out). Let's put it this way, the moths in my wallet died from lack of sustenance!

Thanks SM.
The Sardine appeals to me too. I'll get one if the Tiny Tot doesn't work out.
I used the manual at their site ( http://www.marinestove.com/manual.htm) as a reference for building the heat shielding.

Being that I'm one of those people that has done that, perhaps I can jump in with my logic anyway. With the way my bus is laid out with the central hallway there is not much space on each side. It's plenty for a bed, but a bit cramped for a shower or a toilet. If you were to put both together....well....it would just plain be impossible. On top of that, I'm using a cassette toilet so a lot of excess water around it would be bad. I guess it really just comes down to personal preference. My preference is to lose more square footage to gain comfort. That's the beauty of a bus...you get to decide how you want to use the space.

Yeah, what he said.
Really, it just turned out to be the best configuration for our needs. It keeps the hot water points-of-use localized, and since our toilet is a composter requiring no water, it didn't need to be near the shower.
Also, the shower/potty area makes a good separation for the kitchen/living space and the sleeping space.
We'll likely add some privacy curtains forward and aft of the shower.

Oh yeah....did I mention all my plumbing is inside the bus and runs along one chase panel under all the beds thanks to the layout? Simplicity rules my world

Thanks for the comment WW!
Today we had the title transferred and the vehicle type changed to "motorhome". What a relief -- it was actually quite painless.
Also had two new steer tires spooned on, and we're having fluids, filters, etc changed. chassis lubed, etc. as we speak. Good times!
