Rear suspension noise (jingle on bumps)
I have a leaf spring rear suspension on my bus - it's a 96 frieghtliner mt55 chassis with a Goshen Oshkosh converted to a tour vehicle for my band omingnome. My knowledge is limited as to the names of specific parts of the suspension system so I can provide some pictures with descriptions
In the first two pictures there's is a large washer in between the large arm of the suspension on the left and what appears to be a bracket that attaches to the brake. That is causing a noticeable jingling sound from below. I thought it was just on the right side, but when I felt the washer on both sides of the bus, both washers were loose to the touch and would move about 3/8s of an inch freely, side to side.
The third and fourth picture is what may or may not be another potential issue related to the loose washer and that is what appears to be a giant black bushing that is crooked sitting attached to the large arm of the suspension.
Any thoughts as to what these issues may be?
Thank you,
