Air compressor hoses lines leak parts wanted

Hello all. I'm looking for sources for air lines. I have a 1980 Gillig with a Cat engine. The air system is leaking right at the elbow where the hose comes out of the compressor.

What I need:

1) Parts sources for air systems.

2) ANY tutorials on working on air systems, I've never opened one before.

I'm hoping the leak in the elbow is just a gasket I can swap out. It's not bad enough now to start yanking things apart, I'll wait till I understand more. I also need a couple system bleed valves as the PO broke a couple and just plugged up the holes with dead end plugs. I guess these could be used and I could replace any old gaskets?

Air systems are easy to work on, but I would start by finding a Tractor Trailer Truck and Supply shop near you. Our buses share a lot of parts with those vehicles, particularly the air brake system. In the past, I've literally walked into my local shop ATTP (All Truck and Trailer Parts) with a part in my hand that I had no idea about what it did or was called. I showed it to the guy, told him it was leaking air and he said "hold on". 2 minutes later, I had the new pressure relief valve in my hands. Awesome.

Any truck shop should have a basic assortment of air line and fittings, if they don't have it, they'll know what it is and should be able to get it for you. The biggest thing I'm going to tell you is to watch what you take apart. 100+ psi of air pressure has a lot of force behind it so drain the tanks before you start messing around with anything.

Use soapy water in a spray bottle to find the exact location of the leak. Take a picture of the elbow and post it up. It might also be the crimp fitting on the end of the hose that connects to the elbow(that's where they usually leak when they do).
