I intend to do the same for the exterior. Keeps the OEM look.. however, for interior, self tapping screws have worked like a charm.

Thank you! #10 panhead Phillips zinc will approx. match the Thomas screws in and out of the bus.

Ya, they are the same size as the rivets and there were also these type screws in the body in a number of places, so they don't look out of place when painted to match. I can put a screw in in one second and have literally 100's to do. Rivets would kick my ass.
