SOLD RT-610 10 speed Fuller Transmission

SOLD.

I have several for sale. They came as a group that I bought to get a 10 speed with overdrive. The guy from the bus yard said they were pulled from running buses when some of the Crowns and Gilligs that were scraped. Price is $400 each. I figure that would be a core charge. I make no representations as to condition. Pictures to follow.

Location is close to Modesto, Ca.

Figure out shipping and I will strap it on to a pallet and deliver it to a terminal within 30 miles for no charge.

I have a RTO-910 that I hadn't planned on selling. I might consider selling it if you say something nice to me.

I have a rear engine Gillig with a 5 speed.
I would like to get a bit of overdrive.
Tell me about this RTO 910.
Do you know the ratio of 9th gear?
Does it have the remote shift gizmo?
Whats it out of? Will it fit my Gillig?
What kind of miles are on it? Ready to use or just a core?
May Grace and Peace be yours.

http://cartaste.com/transport-safety...e-4-01761.html

According to this page, 9th is 1:1 and 10th is .81:1. I can't give any specific info on the trans. They came from a school district maintenance facility. I was told they were pulled from buses that were being scrapped. They kept them for spares. They had both Gilligs and Crowns. I can try to get whatever numbers I can find on the cases. There is only one RTO (overdrive) and the rest are RT. The RTO-910 is much bigger than the others and has a SAE #1 bell housing while the rest have a #2. Ready to use? I wouldn't without having someone inspect it.

Some of them had it but I don't remember if the 910 did. I will see if my camera had pictures of it.

Please understand that I am not making any representations as to the condition of any of the units. I can't imagine that they would have bothered pulling a transmission to keep as a spare knowing that it wasn't good but THAT IS PURE SPECULATION ON MY PART. I bought them as a group together for the one overdrive unit. That was to go in my bus. At the rate I am going, that would probably happen around the year 2037. I would have just kept it in storage until needed. I haven't decided on a price for the RTO-910 yet. Just remember to be nice to me. LOL.

It seems that your to do list is at least as long as mine.
If the transmission is much larger than the RTO 610 it most likely won't fit my Gillig.
Not much extra room. I think the RT 610 was used in my kind of bus so the RTO 610 should fit
If you see another RTO 610 for sale out there in Crown & Gillig land please post it here.
Persons responsible for scraping working Gilligs should be placed in the stocks.
Thanks. Alan

The 910 is MUCH LARGER than the 610 size-wise. I have seen posts about switching some gears to make an overdrive but that is above my paygrade. Shouldn't be too hard to find on the net.

Pretty pictures. RT-610 except last picture has the RTO-910 on top.
