Yeah I saw that and after I cringed I thought if he just mounted it below the frame... with a trombone like C shape. Oh well its his bus. When it bends in the middle he will know its time to get a new one.

I think Chris Merkley's method is quite interesting. Creating a false floor from the chair rail down. That way one can mount slide out tubes, run electrical wires, maybe lay some plumbing, not have to worry about wheel humps, plus put foam between the studs to insulate the floor. All in one elegant solution. Of course, a roof raise would be an absolute requirement. Again, I'm not sure it's exactly the route I would go, but it gives some ideas.
