Re: Air Ride anyone?

Doc, Sorry I didn't answer your question. 1. It will cost a lot unless you very craftfully design and build it yourself. At least find the parts. 2. Anytime you are messing with truck suspension, prepare to enter the world of the 3/4 impact driver, minimum. Or 1" if you can. It is dirty, dangerous work that will challenge your level of skill and determination. That stuff does NOT want to move! 3.Guys on TV shows just show the smooth easy stuff and edit the problems out. When you successfully remove the Ubolts holding your rear springs with a 1/2" drive ratchet, I want to see that TV show. Some things are best left to a real truck suspension mechanic. Good luck with air ride. It's a good plan.

I just bought a 1999 bb tc2000 29'er with rear air ride, standard front. Drove north out of tucson 200+ miles of twisty up and down mountainous canyons, etc. Bus rode and handled awesome. I was expecting a beating and was pleasantly surprised. Got home and looked under to find brand new looking air ride kit on rear...

Yeah my old Thomas/Ford would beat you to death driving it 50 miles.
My air ride equipped Senator was pretty comfortable for the 800 mile trip home.
