SKOOLIE BUS CONVERSION FOR SALE $2500.00

I have followed this forum for a few years now and I know that there
are a lot of talented people on here, so I'm offering this fixer
upper to anyone that is interested. I have owned this bus for twenty
years and originally used it to tow my race car throughout the
country and I now own a newer bus conversion and I thought that I
would have the time to fix the problems with the old bus, but I just
don't have the time to do it, so hopefully it will find a good home.
It has all of the major work done to it, that you would have to do to
convert a Skoolie, so there is little left to do. You can see some
photos of what it used to look like and what condition it is in now,
by going to;

CONDITION;

I lived full time in this coach for the past fifteen years and
maintained it as a home, so everything inside works, but I had a
heart attack three years ago while I was in the process of getting
ready to repair the engine start and body problem and I had to delay
that and I have not been able to find time to get restarted on those
repairs since my recovery. I had been using the bus to pull my
formula race car and attend football games and I traveled throughout
the southeast and Midwestern states in it.

I have since purchased a Bluebird Wanderlodge and been spending all
of my time fixing it up and I now need the space. This will make a
good coach for someone who has the mechanical ability to do the
repairs. I believe that a new starter (the old one is still under
warranty I believe) and or starter solenoid, plus a carburetor
rebuild, will get it running again, as when the ignition is turned on
and the electric fuel pump runs, gas leaks out of the Holley
carburetor. When you try to start the engine, it will turn over, but
when you release the ignition switch, the engine continues to rotate
and then you have to remove the battery cables to get it to stop.

The hydraulic clutch should have the fluid flushed and then bled. The
other fluids and the belts should be changed also. I will provide all
of the filters and some spare belts.
It also has some rust on the steel panels that were installed by the
previous owner, they are a low grade of stainless steel and are
mounted using screws, this is an all steel bus, with the exception of
the aluminum entry door. The steel panels are replaceable. It has
been sitting under trees and needs a good power was to remove the
residue from the trees. It has primer paint in places now, as you can
see in the recent photos of the rusted areas. The Awning material
needs to be replaced.

With the engine running, the interior noise level inside this bus is
extremely quit, because of all of the additional insulation and in
order to hear the engine start, you have to open the drivers window,
or watch the tach. The ride is very good, since the front springs
were modified, as originally they were rated at 8000# each, which
gave it a very harsh ride and the actual front axle weight is only
somewhere in the 8,000# area.

I originally intended to fix the bus up myself and sell it for a
higher price, but I just don't have the time to do it now and I
really need the room, so I'm asking $2500.00 for the bus, with an
added incentive of a return of $500.00 of the $2500.00 selling price,
if it is removed from my property by June 1, 2006 so you can pick it
up for $2000.00. I do not want the repairs to be done on my property,
due to insurance reasons, so it must be towed from here immediately
after it is purchased. The reason for the June 1 date, is I plan to
leave here for the summer, shortly after June 1, 2006 and want the
bus moved by then, otherwise I won't return until September.
