Carpenter 3800 bus windows

I have a lot of windows in my 1995 carpenter that I just don't need.\

Here's what I propose...

If nobody wants them, I'll just paint them black, epoxy them shut and glue closed cell foam to the inside.

If somebody wants them then we can do a swop... For each window that I swop out, a piece of fabricated aluminum 1/4 inch thick that will replace each window - complete with a bottom sill.

Just curious- why not steel?
1/4" aluminum is pretty expensive.

Its what I used on two missing windows. There was a 1/4 inch aluminum folding table on the side of the bus that proved an excellent donor.

Ah, I see.
I'd think something measure in Gauge, not inches would be ideal if shopping for materials.
But yeah, some free 1/4 aluminum lying around is always nice.

Steel would be an option but I'd want it 1/16 thick.

14 ga is .083
16ga is something like .065, and a 16th is .0625.
I wouldn't even consider going with anything thicker than 16ga.
If you end up having to actually pay for it, I'd actually probably go with 18ga.

Well, the offer is windows for metal. My solution is cheaper. Paint over, glue foam over and done.

10-4
Just offering a bit of metals opinion/advice. I prefer the bartering system myself.

I *would* replace the windows *if* somebody bartered prefabricated metal replacements *or* waved sufficient quantities of the green stuff that it attracted my attention.
