Re: New Hunting Bus

Solid setup!
What kind of fuel consumption do you see with that heating unit? Looks toasty up there

Do you know where you got the new front door? Looks nice

I believe we used around 125 gallons of LP in 7-8 days.
I look at the temps for those days and it averaged was about 20 degress.
The coldest temp during that time was -7 and the warmest day was 43 degress.
Inside the bus at counter level, i believe the temp was between 67-73 degress.

Re: New Hunting Bus

I love it

Chain question do you only chain outer tires with singles?
Chain both with singles
Chain both with 1 wide set?

My plans are to grab a set for outers so I can drive up on a 4x8 (inners) and put outer chains on

The chains are only on the back outside tire on both sides.
They put on the chain by driving up on 2 2x6 on the inside wheel.
That gave enough clearence to put the chain around the outside tire.
We have about 4-6 2x6 boards in the bus at all times for leveling.

We used to put 1 chain on both back tires, but that was a pain in the butt to put on.

Over Xmas I'll try to get a picture of how the chains look.

That is 2 100lb lp tanks.
With the old bus, I would say we usesd 125-170lbs of lp during deer season depending on how cold it is.
Since this bus has a little more insulation, we hope to use a little less lp
