That would be an excellent deal, cause them babies are heavy. Around here they like to get about $600 a piece for 8Ds. Probably because of all the logging equipment that use those batteries. Here the core of a shot battery is worth $100.
CB; It takes a while to get through one of my six packs. Actually it takes a while to get through one can. I'm a home brewing kegger with 12 kegs. It's hard to keep them all full.

My mechanic said I didn't need 2 since I wouldn't be running all my lights and other accessories. I told him I still wanted the 2 to keep from having any issues in colder climates, plus, two's better than one in this case. I shouldn't hear any clicking or long cycles with my starter for a long while!!

Hey Whiskey, not to sound like a schmuck, but I don't think Sams delivers. Wonder why duracell is getting a 1 star rating on them. Can you post the review?

To be clear, I have no affiliation with Sam's Club, not even a membership. I just thought they could be viewed as a national supplier, and while not as cost effective as the Liberty Battery above, I thought this could suffice in a pinch.
Certainly, Sam's will not deliver these batteries.
The reviews are a bit scary, too.
Edit:
It's not even available everywhere, either:

Thanks for the follow up post! I guess I could have looked that up. Thought you had a member page.
If I were going to buy a battery from a national chain type of place, it would be a truck stop. They usually have service trucks every couple of hundred miles on the interstate to dispatch in case someone has a faulty battery.
Glad I decided to not get those duracell deep cycles from batteries plus afterall.....

2 31's would have sufficed, but no harm in going overkill!

When we changed out our batteries 2 8Ds they were 7 year old NAPA batteries.
I figured if they held for 7 years I would invest in a new set of NAPA batteries so
I talked to the manager at the local Napa store and got a pair of 8D batteries for
$350 plus tax. I've known the manager for over twenty years so got a good deal.
These batteries are rated at 1300 CCA each.

1300 cca's is what mine are rated at. It's amazing how much quicker the bus turns over with that much power. I liked the deal so much that I actually ordered my house batteries from him too. 6v deep cycle at 305 Ah each. Got 6 of them for $199 a piece. My dad even bought a new dc for his trolling motor.

I wanted to look at your build but the link doesn't work anymore. I have some rear wheel well rust in particular that I'm concerned about.

Ill try to get some of the old pics back up. I guess when the forum updated, my photos didn't go with them.
How severe is your rust? I actually cut mine out and welded some new supports in. When I get the time I will get a steel plate to go over it and then will be able to start the floor build.

There are a couple of areas that are iffy and you notice the difference when you walk there. There is a hole about the size of a quarter. There is some pitting, especially near the wheel wells. I have some extra metal from the interior panels that I could use over the bad areas and maybe just epoxy it or marine sealant it down after I convert the rust? If I prime it first the metal won't be stuck to the metal. Then I would prime over all that with Rust-Oleum on the inside and then clean, convert the rust, perhaps do another layer of metal underneath depending on how bad it looks down there, and then undercoat the underside.
The weather is not cooperating with me to pressure wash underneath so that I can check out the undercoating. Then again it would be better if I got a creeper with a head rest before I try that anyway. It's supposed to snow Tue-Thur.
