Day 1 - 1991 Blue Bird TC/2000

We made our purchase from Matt at Central States Bus in Fenton, MO. Matt had never sold a bus to someone that intended to convert it, but he seemed to understand the merits of using a bus--and was, I am sure, more than happy for me to buy a bus and try.

Matt was absolutely great. He really didn't have anything that fit my needs when I first stopped by, but he showed me around and let me climb around in all of his buses.

He told me he would keep an eye out for me and several weeks later he sent me an email with the good news--he had found a bus.

Over the next few weeks we worked out the details and he fixed a few minor issues and did a state inspection. I made the final purchase and drove it home on a rainy Thursday September 24, 2009.

If you live anywhere near the St. Louis area and are interested in purchasing a used bus (school or activity), I highly recommend you at least consider giving Matt a call. The URL to Central States Bus is www.centralstatesbus.com/

The bus is in our driveway and almost touches the house and hangs out past our driveway about an inch. It is a tight squeeze but, much to the chagrin of my eldest daughter, it does fit. She is not going to be happy to see it in the driveway when she comes home from school.
