Re: 1975 interational, v345

345 international engines are were in everything for many years. They are really no different than any v-8 engine... but if you take the heads off to grind the valves you will find that they are a bit heavy...
any chiltons or motor manual with a pickup or even the truck version has these engines in it.. they are quite simple. you can easily buy a manual from amazon or even most likely on eBay..
These are good engines.

That manual will get you the basics, carburetor is probably different, and farm tractor would have a governor, but you bus might also. The scout 345 is the same engine.
You might look around here. http://www.binderplanet.com/forums/index.php
Wen searching you might try using the word "binder" which is a nickname for IH

Re: 1975 interational, v345

You dont have to look for the specific year - 1975.. Just in the range, most all parts are the same,, except for things like carbs.. And you need to look for truck/pickup parts as the parts house wont have school bus parts... and most of the employees dont know to look for a general engine type instead of something specific on the computer.. Napa would either have the most parts or be able to order them.

like i mentioned before.. get a shop manual with that engine and in the 1970 range... like chilton or motor manual. I also had a 1966 1 ton pickup that had the same engine in it... come to think of it.. i had to grind the valves in that one also...
