advice before I purchase a bus

I've been looking for a bus for a while. I've found a 1995 International Blue Bird 3800 with 260K. I got them down to $2,700. Anyone familiar with this year/model bus. Is this a good deal? They say it runs great and all lights work. Just looking for advice before I make a decision.

Depends on what area the bus ran. What engine and trans does it have? Is it from one of the rust belt states? Need more info on the bus, lots of determining factors on whether price is good or not.

I'd have to see some pics and some more info on the bus before I can say whether that's a fair price. Seems a bit pricey for the year and miles unless it's completely rust-free. Also, the tengine / transmission it's equipped with makes a difference when it comes to price. Not to mention you want to see the frame rails and what kind of shape they're in.

I paid 2500 for a 96 7 window International 3800 with a T444E and Allison AT545 with minimal rust.

I paid $900 for a 64 passenger Blue Bird on a Ford 700 chassis with a 429, but that was in 2006. It also turned out to have the ridiculous Lucas-Girling brake system... Get what you pay for, I guess. Too bad I didn't get the chance to convert it to air brake. I would rather have kept it.
