If I get some time I'll fetch all of the documents, then try writing a script to parse the various models/years and maybe even options. Seems like it might be pretty involved, depending on how the PDFs are generated.

I have succeeded in creating a local mirror of the entire “seats” directory of the Thomas Built Portal, totalling 203,544 PDF files at ~31.5 GiB. The next step is to upload this mirror to a separate location, in order to reduce our community's bandwidth impact to the Thomas web site (admittedly probably not a lot but still not very considerate).
Many of the PDF files can be parsed. I will run some preliminary tests to determine how many of these files can be automatically categorized.

Once you get them organized I can host a mirror on our site.

Thank you. That would be really helpful.
I am not going to organize a damn thing, however. 😉 We need to keep these files exactly the way Thomas has them on their portal. Otherwise, we'll run into problems updating the mirror.
What I would like to do is create a separate “directory” listing of the files' contents, so people can easily find what they are looking for. I'll report back after finishing a preliminary survey. There is a lot to wade through.

I'm struggling to access the original link, has it been removed already or is that an issue on my end? I'm seeing the below message -
403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.
I'm not known for having great credentials.
I don't suppose anyone pulled the 1998 Saf T Liner MVP - The body ID is 680499943676-140HS.
Twigg - I know you mentioned that you have the same bus as us, any chance you got the blueprints?

They probably saw the traffic and locked it down.

That's my assumption as well. Not too surprising, since it probably wasn't intended to be available publicly.
Marceps, could you make a torrent of your mirror?

Howdy-I stumbled across this and was curious if you all had any luck storing all those files. I'd love to scour these plans for my bus! Sweet deck BTW.

Sorted and Aligned for Her Pleasure
My ISP (Comcast/Xfinity) does not take kindly to torrent traffic. If the home gateway they installed detects any torrent activity, it will silently boot those devices off the network. I have previously used a VPN to circumvent this but do not currently have a subscription. (AT&T is almost as bad, by the way... and those two are the only ISPs in town.)
Sasquatters, are you able to provide credentials for uploading to your site? I'm down for port 21.
Here is what I have found:
Folders up to and including 160000 are not readily machine-parsable. Luckily, this only represents 9,264 of 203,544 PDF files.
Unluckily, the bulk of drawings that feature pre-2001 buses is contained in those early files. For example, I had to find my 1999 Sat-T-Liner (body type 130-H-S) by browsing by hand.
For 2001 and beyond, you can download the whole damn list now. Here are some stats:

How big is it? I would want them organized in a way that is easily accessible and easy to use for those looking for their model. We have a nice site and I wouldn't want to just throw up a zip and tell people to have fun.

Here is the complete directory listing.
I agree you have a nice site. When you originally made the suggestion, I figured you were thinking of hosting these as a separate entity (for a number of reasons, actually).

For those of us less computer literate it will be quicker to take physical measurements of our buses...
Can anyone stick my nose on the 2002 Thomas Freightliner FS65 for 71 passengers?

I have uploaded the seat plans.
How to Get a Seat Plan- Consult the list (previously linked). If you find your body style, contact me.
- If you don't find your body style, look here. Post details in this thread if you find it eventually, so the next person with your body style doesn't have to search randomly.
Forum posts are a horrible format for organizing such information, but it's all we have for now. If someone wants to start a publicly editable file (wiki article, Google Doc™ whatever...), please do.
