If I wanted to have all the comforts of a house, specifically electrical freedom of a house, how wouldnibgo about sizing a battery bank? And what are the best batteries to use?

For sizing. the usage patterns are critical, how many days / weeks will you be off grid?

What energy sources will you have off grid?

How much solar, in what sort of insolation climate / weather? worst case vs average

Genset?

Then, what will your Ah per day consumption look like?

Best is to actually measure.

Get a couple cheap but quality deep cycle FLA GCs to get started, under $300

Then invest in your "real bank" once you have solid data.
