Blue Bird door question

On my '01 IH/Blue Bird shorty, I removed the lower door guide and lower seals for rust remediation. So, the lower door guide, is it supposed to have a bearing or bushing? Or just a welded chunk of metal?

Before anyone asks, it has the inward folding door.

Hey Brad......took this picture of mine. I have a '97 Int BB with the inward folding door also. Pics are from above and below.

Hope this is what you're looking for.

Yeah, similar to mine. Looked around online, saw the guide at several parts places but no bushing or bearing. So I'm guessing it doesn't have one.

Have you considered that door option of welding your bifold doors together into a solid door that could use more conventional hardware to open/close and lock? It's been done as a way of retaining the look of the bus door in a heavily modified vehicle.

Not planning on it anytime soon. It may remain a passenger-hauler in some capacity and as such it would probably be better in it's original configuration.
