Floor removal help! Work around heater hoses...

Hey Skoolie dudes, dudettes, and those who resist all forms of gender...

So I removed all of the flooring except for right around the doghouse/driver seat. Planning to do that today, but ran into a little situation.

The hoses that ran to the rear heater (that I already removed) come up through the floor behind the driver’s seat. I already created a loop back. I want to get all/as much of the floor up as possible, but I’m not sure how to get around these hoses. Anyone have experience with this?

I was just going to make a cut to the wood in order to remove the plywood around the doghouse. Do you think that’s a good idea? Is there a better way than disconnect the hoses?

Photo attached to show what I’m dealing with. Thanks for the help!

You'll want to remove the steel shroud & plastic wheel well covers from the hoses. Then loosen the hose clamps and remove the hoses. They can be reinstalled underneath if you choose to later.

I suggest parking on an incline and removing ONE clamp from the high side then lift it up high and carry outside before lowering it into a bucket. Leave it there while you repeate with the second hose. Gravity will empty the lines.

Remove all the hose from inside via the hose clamps. I used a six foot section of the hose to make a single piece loop in the engine bay.
