*Found* School Bus Dimensions!

Hello, I'm new here. Haven't bought a bus yet, but I've been looking into it, and have recently convinced my wife that we need to get one. One thing I've been searching for was dimensions of different size buses so that I could determine which size would work best for us. After some searching, I found this link. It has good dimensional drawings for various size buses.

Another great find I recently stumbled across for those of us who have not yet purchased is the Texas Specifications for School Buses (1985-2016), Each link has a pdf file which contains a wealth of knowledge regarding different school bus sizes, wire colors, and configurations and yes... even actual dimensions!!!

Of course each state might have slightly different requirements, and you may not find exactly what you are looking for, but they shouldn't vary in any real substantive manner.

Just my luck. They don't go back to 1946 for some reason.

That was before dimensions were invented.

You should see my more recent post with the Thomas plans. Just about every configuration possible going back to 2000.

In fact if you bought a bus that is newer than 2000, you can probably find your exact plan.

Any idea where to find something similar but for different shuttle busses? I'm running into the same problem!

The North Carolina page isn't very informative, and the Texas page takes you to the State Controller purchasing page when you try to get info for 1999.
