How to post PICTURES AND VIDEO on skoolie (edit in OP)

I have a commitment from the Site Team that if anyone wants to post instructions on downloading pictures here they will make it a sticky.

Is anyone out there that would like to explain to the Newbies exactly how to download pictures here. It seems like most every Newbie has the same to say " tried to download pictures but blah blah, blah).

It's not until someone tells them "you can't load pictures direct to here" that they finally are successful. I know it is frustrating trying to do something that is soooooo easy on other sites only to have it fail time & time again here.

You don't realize that your attempts are not the problem. Most of us feel that we must be doing something wrong and try & try again. It's not until one of us that have already gone thru the pain of trying tells them "We use Photobucket or Imgur to load pictures to here" that they realize it's not what they are doing but what the site will allow that is causing the problem.

The more detailed you can be the better they will have of being successful.

Remember

" WITHOUT PICTURES IT DIDN'T HAPPEN"

PAGE 2 HAS VIDEO ATTACHING THROUGH YOUTUBE

Putting pics on this site requires "Uploading, not "Downloading".

Nice thing about using a hosting site like Photobucket VS uploading to this site is, you can use the same links on as many forums and sites as you like. You can even connect them to Facebook.

I would hate to have to upload the pics to all five sites I post on.

Use a third party site like Photobucket or Imgur, and use the link provided, as highlighted in the picture below-

1st you need a place on internet to keep pictures, I use photobucket and it's free, others use other places

Once you upload your pictures to photobucket, you can look at your library and see pictures and choose one to post online

move mouse to upper corner, and a menu drops down

left click share links

then left click on last option which is IMG

it will copy to your clip board

then you can right click and "paste" into responce box

it will put the IMG file string for you

hit preview or advance to see how it worked

see?easy...

left click address bar to highlight the information

, right click and copy

then move to reply box in your thread and paste it

There may be easier ways but here is how I do it

go to your album on photobucket.
click on one of the pictures you uploaded
on the page with your picture on the right side there are 4 boxes with the image codes
copy what is in the box that says IMG and paste it into a message.
