Leakage Prob...

Heya ...just removed the ceiling to discover there are small icicles ( I'm in southern Ontario) all down the top n sides where the emergency window up top is. My question is if its the outside roof that is leaking is there a way to seal it from the inside?? or just say the hell with it and see if the prob is the sealant where the emerg window is?

pretty hard to seal a leak that has hydraulic pressure trying to push the seal away - much better to seal to keep the water out ( the water is pushing the seal tighter, rather than pushing it off )

Gona want to ditch the roof hatch. In 5 buses I've not had one that didn't have a leaky hatch.
I panel over mine.

I agree with Sleddgracer,

Don't just seal, give the water a path to escape or it will find its way in.

Before you get too crazy with roof repairs make sure that it is leaking

I have icicles in my bus right now. Not from leaking but from it being 25F outside and I am running the propane heater in the bus. Propane burning dumps a bunch of moisture in the air. The moist air hits he cold metal and condenses then freezes making little ice trails and icicles.

Good luck.

When it is a bit warmer it simply rains when I run the propane heater.
