moving the interior A/C, feasible?

My bus has 2 A/C units. The rear unit works fine, but, it has to come out as it will be in the way. I don't know if the front unit works, seller said it would with repair of leaky fitting which I replaced and replacing the compressor...which the seller replaced. The front A/C is on the ceiling behind the drivers seat. I'm curious if anyone has ever moved their interior A/C unit. I'd like to mount mind in the center, over the windshield.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

You know that ol' saying "A pictures worth a thousand words."

Please take pictures and post them. If you can add arrows to point to what or where, that helps too.

This will help us provide better feedback.

Are these A/C units both on the roof?

Are they ducted or stand alone?

If on the roof, you should be able to simply move the entire setup from where one of them is to where you want it. Then you can seal up the remaining hole, or use it as a skylight, or.....

My bus had 3 interior evaporator units that ran on 2 compressors and 2 underbody condensers. I had a professional auto ac company relocate the large rear evaporator to the mid section and replumb them so that they each ran from a separate compressor and condenser. I would think it should be possible to mount an evaporator on the front bulkhead area and route the wires and coolant lines back under the bus from there.

yeppers you can move em.. you can even replace the older bulky units with newer in-wall bulkhead evaporators if aesthetics is important..

I encourage people to move one to the front where the passengers are mainly riding on the road.. I highly discourage taking them out completely..
