The bus is a 1999 GMC 3500 Corbeil, with a 6.5 GM diesel and an Allison trans.
Since I know nothing that I haven't read on Skoolies.net, I'm wondering if 200,000 miles is too much.
Thanks!

Over 200k miles is only a problem if you plan to drive it. They can go 250 even 300, but what happens if it needs repairs? can you afford to fix it? $10k is not unusual.
A gas motor is about half as much to replace/repair than a diesel.
Do you want your home married to a drivetrain?
You really have few options other than to fix it if it breaks.
If you can afford that or can DIY, no problem, sooner or later it will need to be done.
If you plan to drive it.
Without closeup pics of the flooring around the rear wheelwells, and rear areas, it's hard to tell if the rust is a real issue. Do you happen to know what part of the country it came from?
The pic of the main frame and front entry steps looks ok?
The bus's maintenance history would also be a way to tell if it is worthy.
Perhaps somewhere in those 200K miles it has travelled, an engine rebuild/replace has occurred?
If the engine runs well, it might be okay for the use you plan on doing in it?
The price is something to consider. If not "reasonable", you might find that it will cost you more than it's worth to go forward with a conversion, especially if major mechanical repair is needed.
Good luck. and post more pics if you can. You'll likely get others to offer advice if so...
