Please give me good news

I'm doing a conversion on a 2000 e450 Ford Econoline I'm making it into a mobile boutique. So I put up my walls without insulation there made out of beadboard. So I was wondering do I need to take down all these boards insulate the walls, I'm thinking I should be good there will be clothes over this? And people will be coming in and out of this bus all the time from the cold.

I have a rooftop AC/heat unit. I plan on insulating the back wall cuz I haven't finish that yet I just did the framing.

Insulation is very important for temperature control. You probably should take down your walls and insulate properly.

shuttle bus

I have worked with two different brands of shuttle bus. Both were constructed in similar fashion. outer skin fiberglass about 3mm = .125" = 1/8" thick. About 13mm = 1" air gap, or filled with wood, or cardboard honeycomb. Then inner layer of fiberglass 3mm = .125" = 1/8" thick. For the most part the outer and inner layers are glued/bonded together. The wood that is between the layers is in places where screws can be screwed into the structure.

Fiberglass does not conduct heat and cold like metal does. The shell of a shuttle is a bit better at insulation right away over a metal bodied bus. Then you have that one inch gap between the inner and the outer layers.

In addition there is another layer of 1/8" fiberglass panel inside to make it look pretty and smooth.

I dont know that you MUST insulate. If you have enough heat source or cold source, then as long as you can keep comfortable.

The floor was only one layer of 3/4" plywood on the floor. There you might consider some insulation foam there on the floor.

This is one of those things you have to decide for your self.
