Resin Countertop

Here’s my countertop. That’s the best arrangement of sink and stove I could do. That’s epoxy resin with colored mica.

I did the woodwork. I had made it without the backsplash and a friend did the initial resin pour with the colors. She gets credit for the nice colors.

I got it back and sanded it down to level it and I added the backsplash and did the remaining clear pours to finish it.

It's beautiful!

Looks like I'll need to rip-out my repurposed formica countertop if I want to keep up with the quality of work that people seem to do here now.

I’ll be doing the color work myself for the bathroom door, sort of a cloisonné thing.

I also have a plan to do a sort of tribute to Prince coffee table, just to wear out the idea.

A pancake breakfast encased in resin would indeed be pretty cool.

That countertop is beautiful. I was going to try something similar only with pennies before I stumbled across a big piece of butcher block on craigslist.

Wow. Really beautiful. Did you block out the sink and cooktop before the pour or cut holes after?
Prince, purple .
I'm looking forward to viewing your artwork.

My artwork? Haha we’ll see. I’m an OK technician that gets lucky sometimes.

The holes were cut after it was done.
