Rust prevention on galvanized metal

Hi guys. My boyfriend and I just got a 5 window, Ford 350 7.3l diesel school bus! We took all of the seats and the flooring out of the bus. We are now left with a galvanized metal floor that we used JB weld and small squares of galvanized sheet metal to patch the holes made by screws and bolts. There are tiny speckles of rust here and there on the surface, but because this school bus was only ever driven in the the Southern California desert, the rust is very minimal. I was going to use corroseal as a preventative, but I just read that it won’t stick to galvanized metal. I can’t find a clear answer on what I can paint onto galvanized metal to prevent rust. Any suggestions?

Just buy galvanized spray in a spray can. clean up the rust best you can and then spray the rust and your welds. Thats what we do on cell phone towers.

You still have nice shiny galvy? I wouldn’t spend much time or money on it T-Bird’s solution sound great.

You could go with nothing here - the galvanized coating on steel is itself a rust-preventative.
