Reading this forum, I’ve found several threads offering advice on seat track removal- however I’m struggling to find anything specific to what I’m dealing with. First time conversion, I’m building an International 3400, and I’ve pulled the floor up ready to paint. However I’m trying to figure out how best to deal with the old seat attachment rails.
Most threads I’ve found refer to the side-wall mounted tracks. I’d like to know if the floor mounted tracks on my bus should be removed, as they seem to be welded to the floor sheets every half meter or so. Grinding them out seems like the obvious solution, however I’m a little worried after reading about the ‘structural integrity’ themed posts I’ve found on here.
Anybody dealt with these before?
Pic attached, the tracks in red are the ones I’m referring to.
Any advice appreciated
