Securing emergency vents?

I've got 2 emergency vents I'd like to secure but I'm at a loss for a good way that doesn't look horrible. Is there an existing solution for making my vents more burglar proof?

if all you are wanting is to make them non accessible open them and glue them shut with liqiud nails Fuse it Siliprene or some other super high strength adhesive however if they are fiberglass that will not keep some one from sticking their foot through it and gaining entry then you need to remove cover and replace with sheet metal. While my bus was parked in the city (before I found a secure storage lot) I cut squares of chicken wire and screwed them to the ceiling over the hatch holes. Not perfect or pretty but it would delay a would be intruder long enough to either quit or hopefully get notice trying to kick through the chicken wire barrier.

We bought some little hooks and eyes with the springs on the hook side to keep them latched. We haven't installed them yet, however. Obviously nothing is total intruder-proof but these look like they will keep the hatches from being popped up easily.
