what is this ???

Hello gurus,

I finally bought a 2013 GMC Savana 4500

Can you please tell me what this is (attached image) and how I can remove them ? I'd looked at a lot of bus conversion on youtube but did not see anything like this. I don't have the space and equipment at home, so I'll be doing this at the DIY garage and they need to know what equipment(s) I need before so they can let me book the space to work in.

I am in Ottawa, Canada. The cold and snow are coming fast so I'm planning to work on getting the chairs and floor out in one week and then put the bus in indoor storage and take my time on working the interior.

Looking forward to your advice.
Thank you

Need better pics and location. Also, what was the bus used for before you?

It was a city handy cab shuttle bus.

All of these bolts/nuts are at the back of the bus near the seat belts. I hope this picture is better.
Thank you

Yeah, there is no manual or anything in the bus. They really clean the bus out.

I'd tried to see how the seat belt can be work with the circle thingy, but it's just a regular seat belt that buckle into the slot on the wall. I won't be able to access the bus until May to see under the bus, but I'll keep checking.
Thanks

You should be able to upload a pic by now (paper clip icon above text box, read popups carefully).

There are 2 images, one from the side view( small disk on top of the big disk) and one from straight down (blue ball inside the small disk).
The blue ball does not move when I tried to push it down or push it around with my finger.
The disk is not magnetized either.

Could still be some sort of magnetic mount. Only one side has to be magnetized to work. I seriously doubt ADA, OSHA would approve magnetic mounts for wheelchairs, however. Possibly some sort of equipment mount.

Those are the tie down for wheel chairs. The have a strap style buckle that slides ove and latches to them. If you want to remove they are just a single bolt right thru the floor.

Yup, tie down points for a wheelchair. Did it come with the part that slides of the top?
When you remove those, if you’re not interested in keeping them I’d like them.
My niece is in a wheelchair and those would be handy. It’d be nice to use the same strap system she has in her handicap van.

It looks as if the blue center is removed to access a screw to remove the top plate. Then additional screws to remove the bottom. See link.
